Meet Etoy Ridgnal - Change Agent #0058 of our #SCN1000ChangeAgents Series.
She most recently built strategic partnerships around #WillSmithTheJump resulting in over $146 million in funds being raised for the charity partner Education Cannot Wait through Global Citizen partner countries and an Omaze campaign. In 2016, Etoy helped develop and launch the WJSFF Careers in Entertainment Initiative(CIE), which seeks to build a pipeline of the next generation of entertainment leaders with young people from traditionally underrepresented communities. She also develops and engages the Smith family in key global initiatives in the areas of education, sustainability, social empowerment and global leadership.
Since 2015, CAP has also developed and led social action campaigns for mission driven film/tv projects like “Half The Picture “featuring Ava DuVernay, “CONCUSSION “starring Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey’s “BELIEF “Series, “ROOTS” series on History, and Ava DuVernay’s “SELMA”.
Over her 20 year career, Etoy has also led organizing and field campaigns for national organizations such as the AFL-CIO, SEIU, the Working Families Party (WFP), Former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Stand For Children, Democrats for Education Reform (DFER), the Democratic National Committee (DNC), the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Enroll America, The Freedom Sunday Faith Based Civic Engagement Campaign with the Congressional Black Caucus, the Turnout Sunday Civic Engagement Campaign with the National African American Clergy Network and the United States Student Association (USSA).
